I’m Going To Hell Because I Don’t Read My Bible

He also spoke this parable: “A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it and found none. Then he said to the keeper of his vineyard, ‘Look, for three years I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree and find none. Cut it down; why does it use up the ground?’ But he answered and said to him, ‘Sir, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and fertilize it. And if it bears fruit, well. But if not, after that you can cut it down.’ ” (‭Luke‬ ‭13‬:‭6-9‬ NKJV)

Christ has expectations. He expects His followers to “bear fruit,” to make disciples and to be abounding with the characteristics of the Holy Spirit; love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭22-23‬)

There comes a time when, if His followers do not produce fruit, He “cuts them down” and “throws them into the fire.”

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. (‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭1-8‬)

In some religious circles that claim allegiance to Christ, there is a lie being spread: you say a prayer once to accept Christ, and you’re now fire-proof and heaven-bound.

These two passages alone prove that notion is false. If Christ says people who don’t bear fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire, then they will be cut down and thrown into the fire, despite having prayed a prayer to receive Him into their lives.

I’m afraid the unadulterated truth of what Christ actually taught has become and is becoming more and more foreign on pulpits.

My husband and I left the large, organized, insanely popular non-denominational building we used to attend for services because the messages kept getting more and more watered down to the point where our spirit-man was no longer getting fed. We’d leave unaffected by the teaching, and I would actually forget it before evening came.

I am beyond thankful to God that I thoroughly know my bible. From the time I first surrendered to Christ on February 22nd, 2009 to the present, I have never once gone a day without reading the Word. I’ve read the Old Testament about six times, and in year one of my walk with Christ, I stopped counting how many times I read the New after the twenty-something time and can say I’ve likely read it well over sixty times since.

But what about the newcomers? What about those who visit these extremely watered-down churches for the first time where they get more jokes and christianity ABC’s than actual heavy-duty challenging and edifying teachings? I’ll tell you this much: many, I mean many Christians I know who have professed Christ as Savior within the last five years or so, most have not read the entire bible yet, or even the entire New Testament yet and most do not read every day. Thus, they are ignorant of much of the truth, so they go to these services on Sunday and hear these watered-down pastors teaching things that either do very little—if anything—to impact the way their congregation lives, or at worst, they teach lies.

And so the ill-aquatinted “Christian” who doesn’t make the time to be a diligent student of the word in his or her own personal time becomes rather fruitless, and in the end, he will be burned with fire.

How horrible! How absolutely tragic that the very thing God warned His people about thousands of years ago is happening yet again:

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. (‭Hosea‬ ‭4‬:‭6‬)

Please, if this is you, really start reading your bible. You do not want to be in everlasting torment because you trusted more in the words of your pastor than in the living Word of God.

Don’t be foolish, make yourself wise. Because many false prophets have arisen, and many more will come. You do not want to be duped because of a lack of knowledge when bibles are so easily accessible you can have the entire thing on your phone for FREE!

Praying for you,

Natasha

Pope Francis aka the Possible Antichrist

“Never let the past determine your lives. Violence is not overcome by violence. Violence is overcome by peace.”-Pope Francis.

The famous gospel of Pope Francis. Is it Jesus that ‘overcomes violence,’ aka hatred. No, of course not. It is the elusive, “peace” he propagates. He is not a preacher of Jesus—who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life—he’s a preacher of peace, and the anti-christ is gonna be singing such a tune.

“In his place shall arise a contemptible person to whom royal majesty has not been given. He shall come in without warning and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.”-Daniel 11:21

And the antichrist is able to get a peace-treaty between Israel and her enemies. Something the pope just made a huge stepping-stone toward in his invitation this past Sunday for both the Israeli and Palestinian presidents to join him for a prayer of peace—to which the two agreed.

Yes, I believe this outwardly pious man may very well be the anti-chrisr or his side-kick false prophet prophesied of in the book of Revelation.

If Francis truly believes the bible, he would preach that only when Christ returns is all made right. And that peace is not a state of circumstances, it is a state of the heart. And Jesus Christ is the one who truly offers peace. Violence is overcome by love, and Jesus Christ is love. Unless He rules the heart, the heart will not have peace. And whether it be violence, adultery, theft, deceit, greed, envy, or pride, the sin of the heart cannot be overcome by anything but Christ Himself.

Love dissolves hate. If Pope Francis truly cared about the well-being of the Palestinians and Jews, he would preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to them. He would tell them of Christ’s immeasurable love which was displayed on that rugged cross nearly two thousand years ago when Jesus offered up His perfect life on behalf of this world of sinners, that we who trust in Him and repent (change our minds) will not perish but have eternal life. He would tell them that Christ rose from the grave to give us power over sin and death.

This is love, to share the truth of Jesus Christ.

My heart breaks for those born into Islam

My heart breaks for those born into Islam:

“It has not been the practice of the Muslims throughout the centuries to resort to this unlawful practice that has come to our countries from pornographic movies that the kufar (infidels) and enemies of Islam send. As for the prophet, peace and prayer of Allah be upon him, thighing his fiancée Aisha. She was six years of age and he could not have intercourse with her due to her small age. That is why [the prophet] peace and prayer of Allah be upon him placed his [male] member between her thighs and massaged it softly, as the apostle of Allah had control of his [male] member not like other believers.”

Fatwa: “It is not illegal for an adult male to ‘thigh’ or enjoy a young girl who is still in the age of weaning; meaning to place his male member between her thighs, and to kiss her.”
-Ayatu Allah Al Khumaini’s, “Tahrir Al wasila,” p. 241, issue number 12

Child molestation, the abuse of women, the murder of Christians and Jews, the affirmation of having sex with animals, these are all teachings in the Koran. If you say you don’t believe in these things, then don’t profess to be a Muslim. This is what the religion teaches. It is perverted, it is destructive, and down-right satanic.

It directly contradicts and attacks the true religions, Christianity and Biblical Judaism, which both worship the same God, the Father of Jesus Christ, who is also one with God. Why is it so influential? Why is it spreading like gang-green? Because satan himself inspired this religion and has always hated Jews and Christians so he seeks to put it into the hearts and minds of men to destroy Jews and true Christians. Tell me what people in all history has seen greater genocide than the Jews and Christians?

Islam is continuing to grow in influence and although it’s teachings are literally illegal according to laws in our country, the media is so careful not to upset the Muslims, but the Christians whose teaching is love God and others, all about sacrificial service and goodness, we get bashed and trampled upon and reviled, and our brothers and sisters are getting chopped to pieces and burned by Islamists, and we are afraid of sounding Islamaphobic? Phobia is an irrational fear, but being concerned about a religion whose teachings defy universal moral laws and are destructive if practiced is not phobic, it’s logical!

Islam is NOT a peaceful religion. They are all about world domination and war, even believing they need to incite utter chaos in order to have their savior return. Off with the heads of everyone who does not bow down to their false god, aka Satan. The parts that do promote peace are borrowed from the Bible.

Literally, the man the bible labels anti-Christ, the “beast” in revelation with the false religious prophet who acts like Jesus, Islam calls the same beast their god and the false prophet Jesus.

They have flipped christianity on it’s head because like I mentioned, satan hates everything that is good and holy, anything truly godly and pure because he desires to decimate the image of God. Whatever he can taint or destroy, he will: women, men, children, all of us. He hates everyone because we—unlike him and the other angels—were created in the very image of the God he wanted to be over. We who trust in and follow Jesus, unlike him, are granted to sit upon the throne he wished to rule from. We are granted everything he sought to steal and more so we are despicable to him. That is why so many hate Christians and Jews. We represent the one true God, who is Satan’s number one enemy.

Islam is fueled by hate because it’s god is full of hate.

If you are a Muslim, I pray you hear my heart. I don’t want you to believe in this fake god, when the true God, Jesus Christ, loved you so much He died to set you free. You do not need to fear man. Jesus said fear Him who has the power to destroy both body and soul in hell. Jesus Christ willingly offered up His perfect, sinless life, so that you can be forgiven for every wrong thing you’ve ever done. He then rose from the dead three days later to prove He is the resurrection and the life. He also did this so that just as He defeated sin and death, those who put their trust in Him and repent (turn from their sins and run to God) can receive eternal life. And not just eternal life, but peace, joy, love, a new heart and mind and so much more on this earth. He is the most generous, loving and merciful Being in all the universe. I pray you cry out to Jesus and discover the love I discovered five years ago on February 22nd, 2009.

Praying for you,

Natasha

Dear Jews: If You Want to Become More Jewish, Convert To Christianity

Jesus took Passover, and made it new. There He was, a Jew, celebrating the Passover with twelve other Jews, but He told them to now do Passover in remembrance of Him.

Usually, the Jewish people remember the way God delivered Moses and the Jews with the lamb’s blood on the door, and the angel of death “passing over” their home and sparing their life, but here we have Jesus saying remember Me, and then says the wine represents His blood and the broken bread, His body. He most certainly is declaring in this statement that He is now the sacrificial lamb for Israel, to remember this truth, that His death will be their Passover from death to eternal life.

My Jewish friends, I encourage you to read one of the four gospel accounts, to investigate Jesus’ life and determine for yourself if He is your Messiah, if He is the one the prophet Isaiah wrote:

“My righteous Servant will justify many, and He will carry their iniquities. Therefore I will give Him the many as a portion, and He will receive the mighty as spoil, because He submitted Himself to death, and was counted among the rebels; yet He bore the sin of many and interceded for the rebels.” (Isaiah 53:11, 12)

No other person in history came even close, yet Christ fulfilled over 300 prophecies from your sacred Scriptures.

He loves you, and He is the Savior of the world. I pray you come to know and own this truth.

Mr. Holy-Roller, Please Take Your Clothes Off

Do we find any of the twelve apostles of Apostle Paul walking around in glorious apparel, taking homage from the people? Did not even Christ Himself shun and disapprove of this? He walked around poor and lowly, humble, with no beauty that people would desire Him.

Yet we have priests and popes in the Catholic Church, parading around in robes of fine linen with high hats as though they were more holy or special than the rest of us saints.

Does God have favorites? Does not Jesus and the Apostles Paul and James warn about showing preference? They rebuked such exaltation of man! Don’t believe me?

“For there is no partiality with God. “(Romans 2:11)

“My brethren, do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with partiality. For if there should come into your assembly a man with gold rings, in fine apparel, and there should also come in a poor man in filthy clothes, and you pay attention to the one wearing the fine clothes and say to him, “You sit here in a good place,” and say to the poor man, “You stand there,” or, “Sit here at my footstool,” have you not shown partiality among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts? Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him? But you have dishonored the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you and drag you into the courts? Do they not blaspheme that noble name by which you are called? If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well; but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors.” (James 2:1-9)

“And you, masters, do the same things to them, giving up threatening, knowing that your own Master also is in heaven, and there is no partiality with Him.” (Ephesians 6:9)

Yes I shall speak with all boldness that God looks down on our exaltation of mere men like the pope and the papacy and regards it as sin!

I know that even nondenominational Christians do this. It is something Paul had to correct many of the early churches on:

For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence. But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption— that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.” (I Corinthians 1:26-31)

“And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.” (I Corinthians 2:1-5)

So please beloved, do not exalt any man. You can honor them by showing them practical love, but do not bow before them–not even angels allowed mortals to bow before them! (Revelation 22:8-9)

And check out what Peter did:

“As Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him and fell down at his feet and worshiped him. But Peter lifted him up, saying, “Stand up; I myself am also a man.” (Acts 10:25, 26)

May we all repent of this exaltation of man. And may them who embrace this glory repent! Yes, the popes and those in “holy” robes may they tear their clothing and fall down before God and beg Him for mercy for if they don’t, they have received their reward here on earth as Jesus said:

“Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly. “And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. “Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.”(Matthew 6:2-8)

My Earthly Dad Versus My Heavenly One

Every time my earthly dad chuckled at my impersonations, the funny accents I’d do, the costumes I’d parade in, did not my Heavenly Father do the same?

When my earthly dad taught me to ride bike, and cheered me on as I listened to his instruction, and trusting him, applied it and succeeded, did not my Heavenly Father also cheer?

When I had my first accident, where I hurt myself and cried, and my earthly dad held me in his warm embrace and comforted me with kisses, does not my Heavenly Father likewise comfort me?

When my earthly dad let me go out on my own, and hoped I’d do the right thing, does not my Heavenly Father hope the same?

When my earthly dad said yes to the man who is now my husband when he asked for my hand, did not my Heavenly Father desire to say yes to a trust worthy man that will take care of me and tend to me with Christ-like love?

My earthly dad did a good job at taking care of me. He did the best he could. But my Heavenly Father is perfect. He is always good. His love for me far surpasses the love my earthly dad has for me, because God is divine. He has no beginning, middle or end. His love for me reaches beyond the seas, past the ends of the earth, into eternity where there is no bounds.

He extends His hand to me, hoping I will grasp it and never let go. For I am His daughter, his precious baby girl. His diamond in the rough. He seeks to tend to me, to nurture me, to train me in love. He desires to reveal to me just how deep his love goes.

More than my hard-working hands, He wants my diligent heart. He yearns for me to sit at his feet and listen to him, to bond with him, to spend quality time with him, more than he wants me to go out there and serve him.

Who am I, that He desires me to know Him fully? Who am I, that He yearns for me to sit close?

His love is enough. It is more than enough. It is abundant, extravagant, infinite. I want to bathe in it every day. I want it to soak deep inside my pores, to rest inside my soul, to marinate in my heart, every day He blesses me with.

Lord, may the work come only after I’ve swam in your love, only after I’ve acknowledged it and sincerely thanked You for it. Only then.

I love you, Jesus. Please help me to love You more.

Somebody Put A Sock In Religion’s Big Fat Mouth

Interesting that all religions start with one man claiming prophetic enlightenment and this one very human man is always exalted whereas the bible has 40 different authors aka prophets all saying the same thing rather than only one man claiming he heard from God.

Not only that, but unlike the other religions’ “prophets” the things the bible prophets say will come to pass, actually come to pass, and not with partial, but with 100% accuracy.

Yet, many have itching ears that choose to listen to what appeases their appetites and desires, whatever sounds good to them. They do not want to hear about repentance from sin and salvation through Christ alone, that God loves them immensely and died for them knowing it was the only way to redeem them and forgive them.

They don’t want to trust in God alone. They’d rather trust in themselves or a mere man. They look to Scriptures that claim prophetic authority without actually proving the prophetic authority. They trust in one human rather than 40 who say the same thing and again, prophesy future events with astounding accuracy. It is heartbreaking to see so many walking in willful ignorance.

Can you please just cry out to Jesus in sincerity? It is as simple as desiring the real truth–no matter what the cost; that is all you need to discover Christ is the only world Savior. But many do not want to discover the truth for it demands a response. Yet they know not that the Love that deeply desires their hearts will transform them and grant them everything they need. Redemption. Forgiveness. Righteousness. Peace. Heaven.

If they only knew…

Christ is the best and only God. I do not blindly believe. I know my Savior lives. He communicates with me, He has transformed me. I am not perfect but I most certainly am not who I was. His divine word is sure. It is truth. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. I have discovered this, and I pray you do as well.

Atheistic Science Gets Spanked By The Bible

Science:

“Sonoluminescence is the emission of short bursts of light from imploding bubbles in a liquid when excited by sound.”

“The sonoluminescence effect was first discovered at the University of Cologne in 1934 as a result of work on sonar.” (1)

Bible:

“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.”-Genesis 1:1-3, likely written sometime between 1400-1440 B.C.

Science:

The Greek mathematician, Pythagoras, thinks earth is spherical 600 B.C. (2)

Bible:

“He stretches out the north over empty space; He hangs the earth on nothing.”-Job 26:7 , written sometime between 1800-1400 B.C.

“He drew a circular horizon on the face of the waters, At the boundary of light and darkness.” (Job 26:10)

“It is He who sits above the circle of the earth …”-Isaiah 40:22, written 740-680 B.C.

Science:

“The human body contains 59 elements and all of these elements are also found on the earth’s crust. The major elements are of comparable proportions in both. And even more interesting is the fact that when there is an excess of some of these elements, such as aluminum, the body suffers various ailments and disease. With most of the human body being comprised of water, when dust is mixed with water you get clay. We are real live, walking and talking, claymations!”

Bible:

“This is the history of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens, before any plant of the field was in the earth and before any herb of the field had grown. For the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man to till the ground; but a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground. And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.”-Genesis 2:4-7

“Remember, I pray, that You have made me like clay. And will You turn me into dust again?”-Job 10:9

This history is all quoted from this site

“(1) Some time before 500 B.C. the prophet Daniel proclaimed that Israel’s long-awaited Messiah would begin his public ministry 483 years after the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem (Daniel 9:25-26). He further predicted that the Messiah would be “cut off,” killed, and that this event would take place prior to a second destruction of Jerusalem. Abundant documentation shows that these prophecies were perfectly fulfilled in the life (and crucifixion) of Jesus Christ. The decree regarding the restoration of Jerusalem was issued by Persia’s King Artaxerxes to the Hebrew priest Ezra in 458 B.C., 483 years later the ministry of Jesus Christ began in Galilee. (Remember that due to calendar changes, the date for the start of Christ’s ministry is set by most historians at about 26 A.D. Also note that from 1 B.C. to 1 A.D. is just one year.) Jesus’ crucifixion occurred only a few years later, and about four decades later, in 70 A.D. came the destruction of Jerusalem by Titus.

(Probability of chance fulfillment = 1 in 105.)*

(2) In approximately 700 B.C. the prophet Micah named the tiny village of Bethlehem as the birthplace of Israel’s Messiah (Micah 5:2). The fulfillment of this prophecy in the birth of Christ is one of the most widely known and widely celebrated facts in history.

(Probability of chance fulfillment = 1 in 105.)

(3) In the fifth century B.C. a prophet named Zechariah declared that the Messiah would be betrayed for the price of a slave—thirty pieces of silver, according to Jewish law-and also that this money would be used to buy a burial ground for Jerusalem’s poor foreigners (Zechariah 11:12-13). Bible writers and secular historians both record thirty pieces of silver as the sum paid to Judas Iscariot for betraying Jesus, and they indicate that the money went to purchase a “potter’s field,” used—just as predicted—for the burial of poor aliens (Matthew 27:3-10).

(Probability of chance fulfillment = 1 in 1011.)

(4) Some 400 years before crucifixion was invented, both Israel’s King David and the prophet Zechariah described the Messiah’s death in words that perfectly depict that mode of execution. Further, they said that the body would be pierced and that none of the bones would be broken, contrary to customary procedure in cases of crucifixion (Psalm 22 and 34:20; Zechariah 12:10). Again, historians and New Testament writers confirm the fulfillment: Jesus of Nazareth died on a Roman cross, and his extraordinarily quick death eliminated the need for the usual breaking of bones. A spear was thrust into his side to verify that he was, indeed, dead.

(Probability of chance fulfillment = 1 in 1013.)

(5) The prophet Isaiah foretold that a conqueror named Cyrus would destroy seemingly impregnable Babylon and subdue Egypt along with most of the rest of the known world. This same man, said Isaiah, would decide to let the Jewish exiles in his territory go free without any payment of ransom (Isaiah 44:28; 45:1; and 45:13). Isaiah made this prophecy 150 years before Cyrus was born, 180 years before Cyrus performed any of these feats (and he did, eventually, perform them all), and 80 years before the Jews were taken into exile.

(Probability of chance fulfillment = 1 in 1015.)

(6) Mighty Babylon, 196 miles square, was enclosed not only by a moat, but also by a double wall 330 feet high, each part 90 feet thick. It was said by unanimous popular opinion to be indestructible, yet two Bible prophets declared its doom. These prophets further claimed that the ruins would be avoided by travelers, that the city would never again be inhabited, and that its stones would not even be moved for use as building material (Isaiah 13:17-22 and Jeremiah 51:26, 43). Their description is, in fact, the well-documented history of the famous citadel.

(Probability of chance fulfillment = 1 in 109.)

(7) The exact location and construction sequence of Jerusalem’s nine suburbs was predicted by Jeremiah about 2600 years ago. He referred to the time of this building project as “the last days,” that is, the time period of Israel’s second rebirth as a nation in the land of Palestine (Jeremiah 31:38-40). This rebirth became history in 1948, and the construction of the nine suburbs has gone forward precisely in the locations and in the sequence predicted.

(Probability of chance fulfillment = 1 in 1018.)

(8) The prophet Moses foretold (with some additions by Jeremiah and Jesus) that the ancient Jewish nation would be conquered twice and that the people would be carried off as slaves each time, first by the Babylonians (for a period of 70 years), and then by a fourth world kingdom (which we know as Rome). The second conqueror, Moses said, would take the Jews captive to Egypt in ships, selling them or giving them away as slaves to all parts of the world. Both of these predictions were fulfilled to the letter, the first in 607 B.C. and the second in 70 A.D. God’s spokesmen said, further, that the Jews would remain scattered throughout the entire world for many generations, but without becoming assimilated by the peoples or of other nations, and that the Jews would one day return to the land of Palestine to re-establish for a second time their nation (Deuteronomy 29; Isaiah 11:11-13; Jeremiah 25:11; Hosea 3:4-5 and Luke 21:23-24).

This prophetic statement sweeps across 3500 years of history to its complete fulfillment—in our lifetime.

(Probability of chance fulfillment = 1 in 120.)

(9) Jeremiah predicted that despite its fertility and despite the accessibility of its water supply, the land of Edom (today a part of Jordan) would become a barren, uninhabited wasteland (Jeremiah 49:15-20; Ezekiel 25:12-14). His description accurately tells the history of that now bleak region.

(Probability of chance fulfillment = 1 in 105.)

(10) Joshua prophesied that Jericho would be rebuilt by one man. He also said that the man’s eldest son would die when the reconstruction began and that his youngest son would die when the work reached completion (Joshua 6:26). About five centuries later this prophecy found its fulfillment in the life and family of a man named Hiel (1 Kings 16:33-34).

(Probability of chance fulfillment = 1 in 107).

(11) The day of Elijah’s supernatural departure from Earth was predicted unanimously—and accurately, according to the eye-witness account—by a group of fifty prophets (2 Kings 2:3-11).

(Probability of chance fulfillment = 1 in 109).

(12) Jahaziel prophesied that King Jehoshaphat and a tiny band of men would defeat an enormous, well-equipped, well-trained army without even having to fight. Just as predicted, the King and his troops stood looking on as their foes were supernaturally destroyed to the last man (2 Chronicles 20).

(Probability of chance fulfillment = 1 in 108).

(13) One prophet of God (unnamed, but probably Shemiah) said that a future king of Judah, named Josiah, would take the bones of all the occultic priests (priests of the “high places”) of Israel’s King Jeroboam and burn them on Jeroboam’s altar (1 Kings 13:2 and 2 Kings 23:15-18). This event occurred approximately 300 years after it was foretold.

(Probability of chance fulfillment = 1 in 1013).

Since these thirteen prophecies cover mostly separate and independent events, the probability of chance occurrence for all thirteen is about 1 in 10138 (138 equals the sum of all the exponents of 10 in the probability estimates above). For the sake of putting the figure into perspective, this probability can be compared to the statistical chance that the second law of thermodynamics will be reversed in a given situation (for example, that a gasoline engine will refrigerate itself during its combustion cycle or that heat will flow from a cold body to a hot body)—that chance = 1 in 1080. Stating it simply, based on these thirteen prophecies alone, the Bible record may be said to be vastly more reliable than the second law of thermodynamics. Each reader should feel free to make his own reasonable estimates of probability for the chance fulfillment of the prophecies cited here. In any case, the probabilities deduced still will be absurdly remote.”

There are some who most times simply out of ignorance, place “the” saints on a level where they are able to answer prayers. But to you loved ones, I share one of many verses where Apostle Paul calls anyone who has trusted in Christ a saint:

“To the church of God that is in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints together with all those who in every place call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both their Lord and ours: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 1:2, 3)

All who trust in Jesus are called saints, but when I die, please don’t pray to me. Absolutely nowhere in Scripture does any believer ever pray to anyone except God Himself. The only thing saints who have died and gone to be with The Lord do is watch what we’re doing and possibly cheer us on. I get this notion from Hebrews:

“And what more shall I say? For time would fail me to tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets— who through faith conquered kingdoms, enforced justice, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, were made strong out of weakness, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight. Women received back their dead by resurrection. Some were tortured, refusing to accept release, so that they might rise again to a better life. Others suffered mocking and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. They were stoned, they were sawn in two, they were killed with the sword. They went about in skins of sheep and goats, destitute, afflicted, mistreated— of whom the world was not worthy— wandering about in deserts and mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. And all these, though commended through their faith, did not receive what was promised, since God had provided something better for us, that apart from us they should not be made perfect.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 11:32-12:1-2)

Please note how the writer says, “looking to Jesus.” We are never advised in Scripture to look toward angels or deceased saints. In fact, the Apostle Paul who was one of, if not the most impacting saint to ever walk the earth wrote to the Corinthians:

“I appeal to you, dear brothers and sisters, by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, to live in harmony with each other. Let there be no divisions in the church. Rather, be of one mind, united in thought and purpose. For some members of Chloe’s household have told me about your quarrels, my dear brothers and sisters. Some of you are saying, “I am a follower of Paul.” Others are saying, “I follow Apollos,” or “I follow Peter, ” or “I follow only Christ.” Has Christ been divided into factions? Was I, Paul, crucified for you? Were any of you baptized in the name of Paul? Of course not! I thank God that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, for now no one can say they were baptized in my name. (Oh yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas, but I don’t remember baptizing anyone else.) For Christ didn’t send me to baptize, but to preach the Good News—and not with clever speech, for fear that the cross of Christ would lose its power.”(1 Corinthians 1:10-17)

“I came to you in weakness—timid and trembling. And my message and my preaching were very plain. Rather than using clever and persuasive speeches, I relied only on the power of the Holy Spirit. I did this so you would trust not in human wisdom but in the power of God.”(1 Corinthians 2:3-5)

“Dear brothers and sisters, when I was with you I couldn’t talk to you as I would to spiritual people. I had to talk as though you belonged to this world or as though you were infants in the Christian life. I had to feed you with milk, not with solid food, because you weren’t ready for anything stronger. And you still aren’t ready, for you are still controlled by your sinful nature. You are jealous of one another and quarrel with each other. Doesn’t that prove you are controlled by your sinful nature? Aren’t you living like people of the world? When one of you says, “I am a follower of Paul,” and another says, “I follow Apollos,” aren’t you acting just like people of the world? After all, who is Apollos? Who is Paul? We are only God’s servants through whom you believed the Good News. Each of us did the work the Lord gave us. I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow. It’s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow. The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose. And both will be rewarded for their own hard work. For we are both God’s workers. And you are God’s field. You are God’s building … Stop deceiving yourselves. If you think you are wise by this world’s standards, you need to become a fool to be truly wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. As the Scriptures say, “He traps the wise in the snare of their own cleverness.” And again, “The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise; he knows they are worthless.” So don’t boast about following a particular human leader. For everything belongs to you— whether Paul or Apollos or Peter, or the world, or life and death, or the present and the future. Everything belongs to you, and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God. (1 Corinthians 3:1-9, 18-23)

So, beloved, please do not exalt any of the saints who have passed to a place where you now make requests of them and trust them to work on your behalf. Christ died to remove the veil.
At the time Christ walked the earth, the Jewish Temple was where the Jews offered sacrifices and performed worship according to the law of Moses. In this temple there was one place called the sanctuary and a second place behind a veil or curtain called the Holiest of All–the earthly dwelling place of God’s presence. Only the High Priest, once a year, was able to enter the Holiest of All to offer sin sacrifices for himself and the people, signifying the people were separated from God because of sin, but the moment Christ died on the cross, the Bible tells us:

“And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split …” (Matthew 27:50, 51)

When Christ died, He paved the way for us to enter God’s presence through trusting in His sacrifice, trusting He is the Perfect Son of God who died and rose again for that very purpose, as the book of Hebrews affirms:

“This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary. Jesus has already gone in there for us. He has become our eternal High Priest in the order of Melchizedek.”(Hebrews 6:19, 20)

We do not need to request anyone for anything, because of our Precious Savior, our Perfect High Priest, we can go right into God’s Holy Presence to speak to Him and make requests:

“And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place. And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.”(Hebrews 10:19-22 NLT)

Religions that bash the Bible all have the same beginnings

Don’t all religions that add or take away from Biblical Christianity say the same exact thing about their founders: they are a special chosen vessel to completely “restore” the world to the “true” revelation of God’s Word:

“Following his analytical examination of the Bible, Russell and other Bible Students came to believe that Christian creeds and traditions were harmful errors, believing they had restored Christianity to the purity held in the first century. Russell agreed with other Protestants on the primacy of the Bible, and justification by faith alone, but thought that errors had been introduced in interpretation.”-Charles Russel, Jehovah’s Witnesses

“This vision of Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ was the beginning of Joseph Smith’s calling as a prophet of God. He was told that none of the churches on the earth had the fullness of truth. Over time, Joseph Smith was chosen to establish Christ’s Church and restore the priesthood, or the authority to act in God’s name. He was led by God to an ancient record and given the ability to translate it into English. This record is called the Book of Mormon.”

“In his late 30s Muhammad took to regularly visiting a cave in Mount Hira, on the outskirts of Mecca, to seek solitude and contemplation. In 610, at the age of 40, Muhammad returned from one such visit telling his wife he had either gone mad or become a prophet, for he had been visited by an angel. The initially startled Khadija became his first convert.
Muhammad reported that while in a trance-like state, the Angel Gabriel appeared to him and said “Proclaim!” But like Moses, Muhammed was a reluctant prophet. He replied, “I am not a proclaimer.” The angel persisted, and the Prophet repeatedly resisted, until the angel finally overwhelmed Muhammad and commanded him:

Proclaim in the name of your Lord who created!
Created man from a clot of blood.
Proclaim: Your Lord is the Most Generous,
Who teaches by the pen;
Teaches man what he knew not. (Qur’an 96:1-3)
After receiving Khadija’s support, and additional angelic visits, Muhammad became confident he had indeed been chosen as the messenger of God and began to proclaim as he had been commanded.
Muhammad’s message to his countrymen was to convert from pagan polytheism, immorality and materialism, repent from evil and worship Allah, the only true God. He was always careful to clarify his role in God’s work – he was only a prophet. He was not an angel, he did not know the mind of God, he did not work miracles. He simply preached what he had received.”

But this is what the Apostle Paul wrote 500 years before Muhammad, over 1,800 years before Charles Russel and Joseph Smith:

“I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ. But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ. For you have heard of my former conduct in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it. And I advanced in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries in my own nation, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers. But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace, to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately confer with flesh and blood, nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia, and returned again to Damascus. Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and remained with him fifteen days. But I saw none of the other apostles except James, the Lord’s brother. (Now concerning the things which I write to you, indeed, before God, I do not lie.) Afterward I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia. And I was unknown by face to the churches of Judea which were in Christ. But they were hearing only, “He who formerly persecuted us now preaches the faith which he once tried to destroy.” And they glorified God in me. (Galatians 1:6-24)

“But what I do, I will also continue to do, that I may cut off the opportunity from those who desire an opportunity to be regarded just as we are in the things of which they boast. For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.” (II Corinthians 11:12-15)
