An Easy Way To Become Powerful In Christ

It is time for a mind renewal.

As Christians, the devil is always trying to deceive us. Too many of us have bought into those lies, losing faith in what the Scriptures say about who we are in Christ. We have immense, undefeated power over satan and all of his might. All he can do is trick us into thinking we don’t.

Before I ask you to do something, let me reassure you that it is not prideful to proclaim and believe what God says about you, His precious and beloved child and heir. In fact, God wants us to profess and believe His word. Romans says faith comes by hearing, hearing the Word of God.

So I’m going to share with you a number of God’s promises about who you presently are in His Son Christ Jesus. Not who you will be, not who He hopes you to be, but who you are and the power you currently possess.

This is a simple but powerful faith-building routine, and understand that faith is our shield and by it we literally defeat satan. So it it is crucial—vital—for us to build up our faith.

What I want you to do is read these Scriptures out loud. Read them over and over until you believe them. Renewing our mind is a process, so do not read them just today, but every day until you trust they are true and you begin to see victory over whatever is not godly in your life.

Here they are:

You are from God, little children, and you have conquered them, because the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. (‭1 John‬ ‭4‬:‭4‬ HCSB)

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭13‬ NKJV)

But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. (‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭11‬ NKJV)

For this is what love for God is: to keep His commands. Now His commands are not a burden, because whatever has been born of God conquers the world. This is the victory that has conquered the world: our faith. And who is the one who conquers the world but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? (‭1 John‬ ‭5‬:‭3-5‬ HCSB)

We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him. (‭I John‬ ‭5‬:‭18‬ NKJV)

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. (‭II Timothy‬ ‭1‬:‭7‬ NKJV)

I labor for this, striving with His strength that works powerfully in me. (‭Colossians‬ ‭1‬:‭29‬ HCSB)

For I through the law died to the law that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. (‭Galatians‬ ‭2‬:‭19-20‬ NKJV)

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. (‭II Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭17‬ NKJV)

But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. (Romans. 8:37)

Mind-blown At The Fact That God Is Truly My Co-Writer

I’m currently working on the second book in a fantasy trilogy. Last night, while at a brother’s home, we discussed the false teaching of the Rapture. After much dialogue, this morning I was compelled to research the origin of this belief. I wasn’t shocked by its late start-up (the 18th century, when Joseph Smith was likewise receiving contrary-to-Scripture “visions”). But as I got into prayer, just thanking God for His unfailing Truth, it hit me: there’s parallels in my trilogy to The Great Tribulation.

It’s fascinating to me that before endeavoring to write this trilogy, all I knew was what the seven main characters were going to represent. I also knew there would be a character who represented God the Father and Creator and then shortly after starting that there would be a book that represents the Bible. However, it wasn’t until after I’d finished writing book one that a slew of biblical parallels began to shine forth.

I pray every single time I’m about to write. I invite God into the process, asking Him to bless and anoint me and to lead the story. I’m mind-blown at just how much He’s honored those prayers.

I don’t want to give any spoilers, but from what I currently know, there’s parallels of the Holy Spirit, of the pre-tribulation “birth pangs” Jesus speaks of in Matthew 24, anti-christ and the false prophet, the Great Tribulation, and the New Jerusalem. Again, none of this was planned. I didn’t premeditate any of these parallels, only the few I mentioned earlier.

So my encouragement to every Christian fiction writer is to really pray and offer your work to God. Trust Him to give you the story and really commit it to Him. It’s amazing to have the God of the universe as your co-writer. Are not our gifts meant to build up the Church and glorify God? I pray all of you use your gifts for the above purposes, whatever those gifts may be. Let’s sew into eternity with what we’ve been given today.

Much love,

Natasha

My heart breaks for those born into Islam

My heart breaks for those born into Islam:

“It has not been the practice of the Muslims throughout the centuries to resort to this unlawful practice that has come to our countries from pornographic movies that the kufar (infidels) and enemies of Islam send. As for the prophet, peace and prayer of Allah be upon him, thighing his fiancée Aisha. She was six years of age and he could not have intercourse with her due to her small age. That is why [the prophet] peace and prayer of Allah be upon him placed his [male] member between her thighs and massaged it softly, as the apostle of Allah had control of his [male] member not like other believers.”

Fatwa: “It is not illegal for an adult male to ‘thigh’ or enjoy a young girl who is still in the age of weaning; meaning to place his male member between her thighs, and to kiss her.”
-Ayatu Allah Al Khumaini’s, “Tahrir Al wasila,” p. 241, issue number 12

Child molestation, the abuse of women, the murder of Christians and Jews, the affirmation of having sex with animals, these are all teachings in the Koran. If you say you don’t believe in these things, then don’t profess to be a Muslim. This is what the religion teaches. It is perverted, it is destructive, and down-right satanic.

It directly contradicts and attacks the true religions, Christianity and Biblical Judaism, which both worship the same God, the Father of Jesus Christ, who is also one with God. Why is it so influential? Why is it spreading like gang-green? Because satan himself inspired this religion and has always hated Jews and Christians so he seeks to put it into the hearts and minds of men to destroy Jews and true Christians. Tell me what people in all history has seen greater genocide than the Jews and Christians?

Islam is continuing to grow in influence and although it’s teachings are literally illegal according to laws in our country, the media is so careful not to upset the Muslims, but the Christians whose teaching is love God and others, all about sacrificial service and goodness, we get bashed and trampled upon and reviled, and our brothers and sisters are getting chopped to pieces and burned by Islamists, and we are afraid of sounding Islamaphobic? Phobia is an irrational fear, but being concerned about a religion whose teachings defy universal moral laws and are destructive if practiced is not phobic, it’s logical!

Islam is NOT a peaceful religion. They are all about world domination and war, even believing they need to incite utter chaos in order to have their savior return. Off with the heads of everyone who does not bow down to their false god, aka Satan. The parts that do promote peace are borrowed from the Bible.

Literally, the man the bible labels anti-Christ, the “beast” in revelation with the false religious prophet who acts like Jesus, Islam calls the same beast their god and the false prophet Jesus.

They have flipped christianity on it’s head because like I mentioned, satan hates everything that is good and holy, anything truly godly and pure because he desires to decimate the image of God. Whatever he can taint or destroy, he will: women, men, children, all of us. He hates everyone because we—unlike him and the other angels—were created in the very image of the God he wanted to be over. We who trust in and follow Jesus, unlike him, are granted to sit upon the throne he wished to rule from. We are granted everything he sought to steal and more so we are despicable to him. That is why so many hate Christians and Jews. We represent the one true God, who is Satan’s number one enemy.

Islam is fueled by hate because it’s god is full of hate.

If you are a Muslim, I pray you hear my heart. I don’t want you to believe in this fake god, when the true God, Jesus Christ, loved you so much He died to set you free. You do not need to fear man. Jesus said fear Him who has the power to destroy both body and soul in hell. Jesus Christ willingly offered up His perfect, sinless life, so that you can be forgiven for every wrong thing you’ve ever done. He then rose from the dead three days later to prove He is the resurrection and the life. He also did this so that just as He defeated sin and death, those who put their trust in Him and repent (turn from their sins and run to God) can receive eternal life. And not just eternal life, but peace, joy, love, a new heart and mind and so much more on this earth. He is the most generous, loving and merciful Being in all the universe. I pray you cry out to Jesus and discover the love I discovered five years ago on February 22nd, 2009.

Praying for you,

Natasha

“Food Porn” and the Christian

This morning, as I ate a bowl of my sister’s organic corn pops, a thought crossed my mind to tweet about it. Immediately afterward, the Holy Spirit reminded me of a brother in Christ I have on Facebook who lives in India, who had showed me photos of a devastating flood that only worsened the already impoverished village he and his family lived in. Would they appreciate my photos of lavish dishes, ones they can only gawk over through a computer screen—if that?

And so today I ask you, my brother or sister in Christ reading this, please think twice about posting “food porn” on your social media outlets [also, the word “porn” should never be a positive one in the vocabulary of a Christian].

May we show compassion for our brethren in other parts of the world (and even some here in America) who cannot afford a decent meal, and instead of boasting about what’s on our plate, may the food before us be a reminder to pray for our family in Christ who do not have the same luxuries and give what we can financially to support those in need, or at the very least, bring a few pancakes and a bottled water to the homeless we drive by almost every day.

And that’s today’s food for thought.

Shut Up And Let Us Kill And Do Whatever Else We Want

If the majority wants the right to murder their helpless children in their womb we should let them because well, they’re the majority, right? If the majority decides they don’t want to buy property anymore, but take homes they like by force, we should let them because they’re the majority, right? If the majority wants to legalize rape, we should legalize rape because the supposed majority wants it, right? Otherwise, we are forcing our moralism on them. Oh, but actually, if we do legalize what they want, they are forcing their lack of moralism on us.

Should we accept their violence, to ours and many people’s destruction? Or should we stand against sin and evil for the sake of the people, and by prayer and civil action, not permit such violence to be enacted on the basis of preserving life?

Chaos happens when evil laws are passed and God’s law is shunned. And this nation and our president, and many American politicians, to our shame and embarrassment, are doing this very thing: passing evil laws and trying to silence those who oppose them.

And we think God does not see? We should be terrified of His righteous judgement on a land that so spitefully rejects and fights against His laws and in pride justifies its treachery and lawlessness with meaningless ideologies of relativism and evolution. Why? Because we want to do what we want without fear of judgement. Deep down we know we are wrong but we silence our consciences by choosing to deceive ourselves with the teachings we like, the ones that don’t condemn our sins, but applaud them, until finally we believe them and have completely crucified our consciences.

Now, we think we are free, but really, we are a slave to the sin we have allowed to rule us, instead of letting the truth and reality of who Jesus Christ is to free us from the power of our evil desires that we may live righteously and truly love others, not just accept and tolerate them.

I love God and the homosexual so I speak against their destructive lifestyle. Not because I’m on a high-horse of self-righteousness but because I know God is love, yet He is also just, and cannot go back on His Word. If He condemns an act that can be forgivable, such as homosexuality, theft, lying, lust, adultery, premarital sex, and even murder, I would be hateful to just shut my mouth and let those indulging in such sins stroll blindly into hell. Because I would rather speak the truth in love, though it may hurt their pride or cause a brief pain when they realize they must separate themselves from that sin, than let them be deceived, or cheer them onto the path of destruction.

God loves us so He tells us the truth, plain and clear. He doesn’t blur the lines and confuse us with gray areas. He labels sin that we might repent of it and receive eternal life with Him. He gave His only perfect Son to die a gruesome death—the death we all deserved—because of our sins. Jesus, the Son of God, defeated sin and death by living a perfect sinless life and then rising from the grave the third day. And He promises that those who trust in Him and give their hearts to Him can likewise conquer sin and death. God “kills your party” to protect your body and soul that you may be able to join Him at His celebration in eternal paradise, where joy is not a fleeting drug or orgasm, but is being in the midst of love Himself for all eternity where He wipes away every tear, and where no more pain or evil exists. A place of true peace, the kind we hope for on this earth but will never have until Christ returns and once for all destroys satan and those who follow him, and Jesus who is Love and Truth rules over and cares for every soul who has chosen to be His and to follow Him.

You may not have tomorrow, so why not choose Life today. Jesus said: “I am the way, the truth, and the life, and no one gets to the Father except by Me.”

I pray your eyes are opened to what matters, that you set your mind on heaven, not earth, on life, not death. Jesus is the Best Person that has ever happened to me, and He offers Himself to anyone who is willing. You can ask Him yourself. You don’t need to go to a church building, or a pastor, to encounter Jesus. He is the only Mediator between God and man, and you can go directly to Him to have your sins forgiven, your slate made clean, and your heart transformed by the indwelling of His most powerful Holy Spirit. Please choose life today!

Reapers Book Trailer Hubby And I Made

So hubby and I offered to make a book trailer for the awesome, Bryan Davis, or as I like to call him, Obi-Wan Brynobi.

He just came out with a new novel entitled Reapers. Devoured this fascinating story in less than a week. Don’t let the name fool you, these Reapers aren’t anything you’d expect, but I’ll let the trailer speaker for itself. My hubby, aka Sir Jonathan not only directed this, but he also played the main character. It was a pleasure to both serve our brother in Christ, and team up for the advancement of God’s kingdom! Enjoy! Reapers Book Trailer

What are your thoughts? Is this a book you’d be interested in reading? Feel free to let me know in a comment.

I’m Gonna Worship Jesus, But I’m Gonna Worship Me Too

Following Christ is a choice. Obeying Him is a choice, as is disobeying Him. If you truly desire to pick up your cross, deny yourself, and follow Him, He will imbue you with His most powerful Holy Spirit, and enable you to follow/obey Him.

Do not believe the deception that you can partially follow His way, and then follow your own heart and standards in other ways and still get to heaven:

“But Jesus told him, “Anyone who puts a hand to the plow and then looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of God.” (Luke 9:62 NLT)

I’m begging you, if you are in sin, if you are disobeying Christ’s commands, lowering or compromising God’s standard for your life, please repent. You many not have tomorrow or even tonight to do so! And do not let your heart, which the Bible calls deceitful and wicked, tell you it’s okay, that God will forgive you when you are dead and face Him.

“Because we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit … And let us work toward complete holiness because we fear God.” (2 Corinthians 7:1 NLT)

“For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There’s no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death.” (2 Corinthians 7:10 NLT)

In other words, just feeling bad or guilty about your sin isn’t enough. Trying to cover it up by church attendance or service, isn’t enough. You must repent, or you will experience spiritual death: eternal destruction of your soul.

I beg you, do not take this lightly or call me radical. I am merely quoting the words of the Bible, not my opinion.

I love you, and God loves you, but you cannot “trample on Christ’s sacrifice” and think you won’t receive judgement. Paul says those who continue sinning deliberately, after knowing Christ’s standards, should only expect:

“Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins. There is only the terrible expectation of God’s judgment and the raging fire that will consume his enemies.”(Hebrews 10:26, 27 NLT)

Our past sins are covered, but if we continue sinning after receiving knowledge of the truth, those sins will not be covered.

I leave you with this:

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up. After all, you have not yet given your lives in your struggle against sin. And have you forgotten the encouraging words God spoke to you as his children? He said, “My child, don’t make light of the Lord ’s discipline, and don’t give up when he corrects you. For the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes each one he accepts as his child.” As you endure this divine discipline, remember that God is treating you as his own children. Who ever heard of a child who is never disciplined by its father? If God doesn’t discipline you as he does all of his children, it means that you are illegitimate and are not really his children at all. Since we respected our earthly fathers who disciplined us, shouldn’t we submit even more to the discipline of the Father of our spirits, and live forever? For our earthly fathers disciplined us for a few years, doing the best they knew how. But God’s discipline is always good for us, so that we might share in his holiness. No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way. So take a new grip with your tired hands and strengthen your weak knees. Mark out a straight path for your feet so that those who are weak and lame will not fall but become strong. Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord. Look after each other so that none of you fails to receive the grace of God. Watch out that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many. Make sure that no one is immoral or godless like Esau, who traded his birthright as the firstborn son for a single meal. You know that afterward, when he wanted his father’s blessing, he was rejected. It was too late for repentance, even though he begged with bitter tears.”(Hebrews 12:1-17 NLT)

Dear Feminists: The Bible Loves You More Than You Do

For the feminists who are tragically ignorant of the Scriptures, the Bible highly esteems women statements that would be shocking to the men of that age (two thousand years ago).

The very fact that the first witnesses of Christ’s resurrection were women is extremely telling. If the New Testament gospel accounts were contrived, why in the blazes would the male writers coin women as the key and primary witnesses to Jesus’ resurrection when in that time, women’s testimonies weren’t even valid in court!

Here’s just another example of upholding women when Jesus rebuked His disciples for frowning upon the noble actions made by a woman:

While Jesus was in Bethany at the house of Simon, a man who had a serious skin disease, a woman approached Him with an alabaster jar of very expensive fragrant oil. She poured it on His head as He was reclining at the table. When the disciples saw it, they were indignant. “Why this waste? ” they asked. “This might have been sold for a great deal and given to the poor.” But Jesus, aware of this, said to them, “Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a noble thing for Me. You always have the poor with you, but you do not always have Me. By pouring this fragrant oil on My body, she has prepared Me for burial. I assure you: Wherever this gospel is proclaimed in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told in memory of her.” (Matthew 26:6-13)

Shall I continue with this most controversial Scripture penned by the Apostle Paul in his letter to the church in Galatia:

“For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ like a garment. There is no Jew or Greek, slave or free, male or female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:27, 28)

And how about when Paul warns men:

“Husbands, in the same way, live with your wives with an understanding of their weaker nature yet showing them honor as coheirs of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered.” (1 Peter 3:7)

Or when God in the Old Testament rebukes men who claimed to follow Him:

“And this is another thing you do: you cover the Lord ’s altar with tears, with weeping and groaning, because He no longer respects your offerings or receives them gladly from your hands. Yet you ask, “For what reason? ” Because the Lord has been a witness between you and the wife of your youth. You have acted treacherously against her, though she was your marriage partner and your wife by covenant. Didn’t the one God make us with a remnant of His life-breath? And what does the One seek? A godly offspring. So watch yourselves carefully, and do not act treacherously against the wife of your youth. “If he hates and divorces his wife, ” says the Lord God of Israel, “he covers his garment with injustice,” says the Lord of Hosts. Therefore, watch yourselves carefully, and do not act treacherously.” (Malachi 2:13-16)

I can quote dozens more, but I encourage you to seek the Scriptures yourself, to delve into the Bible and discover just how precious women are to God.

May His love heal your heart, and His tenderness mend your brokenness. He is waiting for you.
