To the Hypocritical believers in Jesus

Many proclaim belief in Jesus Christ, yet continue living sinful lives. To those who do this, I share this Scripture passage with you, that you may fear God and repent, for He calls out hypocrites, and commands all who follow Him to be holy:

“For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works. Declare these things; exhort and rebuke with all authority. Let no one disregard you.” (Titus 2:11-15)

If there’s sin in your life that you are justifying, when the bible claims God hates and condemns sin, you may be honest in your declaration of belief in God, but belief alone will not send you to heaven.

Sin is a crime against God, and He “judges all wrong doers.” Each of us have done wrong—lied, lusted, hated, used God’s name as a cuss word, stole—therefore each of us are rightfully judged by God. If we face Him with our sinful track-record, He will rightfully close the doors of His holy eternal dwelling place and say, “Depart from Me, worker of iniquity, I never knew you.”

But you know what God did for us so we don’t have to be judged by Him according to our sins?

He sent His perfect, holy Son to live a perfect and sinless life, then had Him die a bloody, excruciating death on a cross in our place, that those of us who forsake our sins and put our trust in Jesus may be forgiven of all unrighteousness and become children of God, by the gift of His Holy Spirit who lives in believers, and receive eternal life. Not by our own good works apart from Christ, but by Christ’s perfect sacrifice on our behalf.

In order to be made right with God we need to be forgiven by Him. The great news is God is a forgiving God, but the way to forgiveness is through His Son. If you try to face the Holy Creator in your sinful, unrepentant state, He will deny you. But if you come to Him after turning away from your sins and embracing His Son, you will likewise be embraced and have your name written in His book of life.

Will you choose today to say goodbye to your sins and the things/people that help cause you to sin, and choose to follow Christ? You have nothing but hell to lose, and everything that’s heavenly to gain.

Praying for you,

Natasha
